Terms of Use
By reading this site you accept the terms below. They are deliberately short, because the site is simply a collection of written pages you can read for free.
What this site is
The Handheld Herald publishes a weekly written digest about mainstream mobile games. It is editorial opinion and description. It is not a shop, not a download service, and not a support channel for any game.
No connection to the games covered
The Herald is independent. It has no relationship with, and no endorsement from, any of the studios, publishers or storefronts whose games it writes about. All game titles, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are referred to here for identification and commentary only.
Accuracy
Everything here is written in good faith about games as they were at the time of writing. Mobile games change frequently and any edition may become out of date. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a game still behaves as described, and it is offered without warranty of any kind. If you spot something wrong, a correction is welcome via the contact page.
Getting the games
The Herald hosts no software and links to no downloads. Install games only through your device's official app store. Anyone who obtains software from a third-party source does so entirely at their own risk.
Using the writing here
The text on this site belongs to its author. You may quote a reasonable extract for review, commentary or discussion provided you credit the Handheld Herald and link to the page you took it from. Republishing whole editions, or reproducing the site's content in bulk or by automated means, is not permitted without written permission.
Links to other sites
Where an edition links to a developer's site or an app store, that is for your convenience. Those destinations are outside the Herald's control and it accepts no responsibility for their content, availability or practices.
Limits of liability
This site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Herald is not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from reliance on anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited.
Availability
The Herald is a personal project. Publication may pause, and pages may be edited, moved or withdrawn at any time without notice.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The current version always lives at this address, with the date of last revision below.
